My Story


Mary Granger is a medicinal cook with over 35 years experience cooking for family, friends and customers. She cooks for people who enjoy good health and simply wish to eat fresh-cooked and well-balanced meals, as well as for those addressing mild to serious health issues.

Mary has her familiarity with traditional Asian and Mediterranean cuisine honestly -- from life experience. She grew up in Istanbul and Rome, lived in Japan for four years and studied with Japanese chefs in the United States . She is the mother of seven homeschooled children and a happy transplant to Oklahoma City where she moved in 2011 with her husband and four of her children.

Mary Granger’s public teaching and cooking classes have brought many people to her over the years asking for help eating well, implementing a counselor's Macrobiotic guidance, or with recommendations from a doctor to follow DASH (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension) guidelines. She offers her services in various ways to those who come to her for help learning a traditional way of cooking and thinking about food.
